Privacy policy
Last updated: 12 June 2026
This policy describes how Pentangle (“we”, “us”) collects and uses information in connection with Pentangle Connect and related services (together, the “Service”).
Who this applies to
- Storage operators who use our software, plugins or custom integrations.
- End customers who use quote or booking tools on an operator’s website.
- Visitors to this website.
Information we collect
Operators
When you connect the Service to your management system or website, we may process:
- Your organisation details, site URLs and installation identifiers.
- Connection tokens held on our infrastructure so the Service can access your management platform on your behalf (we do not store your platform login password).
- Technical logs related to API requests (e.g. endpoint, status, timestamps) for security and support.
End customers (booking tool users)
When someone uses a quote or booking tool on an operator’s site, information they enter (such as name, email, phone, address and booking preferences) may be sent to the operator’s management system via our Service, in line with the operator’s configuration. We process this data only to provide the Service on the operator’s instructions.
This website
We may collect standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) when you browse this site.
How we use information
We use information to:
- Operate, secure and improve the Service.
- Authenticate installations and proxy API requests to connected management platforms.
- Respond to support requests and comply with legal obligations.
We do not sell personal information.
Legal bases (UK / EEA)
Where applicable, we rely on: performance of a contract (providing the Service to operators); legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, service improvement); and consent where required.
Sharing
We may share data with:
- Management system providers - to fulfil quotes and bookings at the operator’s direction.
- Payment providers - where an operator has configured payment processing.
- Infrastructure providers - hosting and monitoring, under appropriate safeguards.
- Authorities - when required by law.
Operators are independent controllers of their customers’ data. Their own privacy notices apply to end users of their websites.
Retention
Connection data is kept while an installation or integration is active and deleted when disconnected or decommissioned (subject to short backup cycles). Logs are retained for a limited period for security and troubleshooting.
Security
We use encryption, access controls and industry-standard practices to protect data. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure.
International transfers
If we process data outside the UK/EEA, we use appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) where required.
Your rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict or object to processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. End customers should contact the storage operator first; operators and other requests may contact us at privacy@pentangle.co.uk.
Cookies
This marketing site does not use non-essential cookies. Quote and booking tools deployed on operator websites may use cookies or local storage as needed for the booking flow; that is controlled by the operator’s site.
Children
The Service is not directed at children under 16.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. We will post the revised version on this page with an updated date.
